The drive has been running since September 2011, and since then we have raised almost one million crowns. Most of this money went to Konto BARIÉRY for disabled children who need costly medical aids, personal assistance or a specially adapted car to live a full life. The proceeds were divided among children whose stories you can find directly on the Konta BARIÉRY website in the section Who we help.

We feel the need to help not only physically or mentally disabled children but also those who are disadvantaged in other ways. We have recently started working with the nonprofit Nadání a dovednosti. It helps children from children's homes and foster families choose the right studies and enter the job market. We will soon publish the stories of the children we have helped together.

The organization has a clear goal. It wants young people aged 14 - 26 from children's homes, foster families or low-income families to succeed in both their personal and professional lives.

The Rozhled project focuses on motivation, choosing a secondary school and the job market.
The Happy End project emphasizes intensive individual support.
My Apartment is a donor program that helps children from children's homes furnish their own homes.
Students training as cooks can join the KUlinary.
Thanks to the LONDON Job&Fun project, young people can travel to work in Great Britain.
Through the Job Exchange program they try to find good jobs for the young people. 

Konto BARIÉRY

The flagship project of the Charter 77 Foundation has been running for twenty-five years with tens of thousands of donors. Over its lifetime the foundation has distributed hundreds of millions of crowns and supported thousands of projects aimed at improving the lives of people with disabilities and their full inclusion in society. It responds to the current needs of people with disabilities and supplements the state and local government where their help falls short. Its focus, however, is increasingly shifting from standard help such as rehabilitation and assistive aids and barrier-free adaptations of homes, schools and other public buildings, toward projects related to employment and a full life for people with disabilities.
